Exciting Cabernet Sauvignon Offering!

Cabernets from Silver Oak, Silverado Vineyards & Antica

Grab this chance to acquire three of the most highly-regarded and difficult to find California cabernet sauvignon around. Legendary Silver Oak needs no introduction. The winery has produced nearly 40 vintages of world-class and always severely allocated cabernet. Silverado Vineyard is one of the first wineries to produce cabernet in the renowned Stags Leap District. Antica, masterminded by Piero Antinori, is a more recent venture that already has scored impressive success. Act fast on these California superstars. Quantities are extremely limited!

2007 Silver Oak Cellars (Alexander Valley)

Silver Oak
Silver Oak has been creating excitement among wine lovers since its first commercial vintage in 1972. The late Justin Meyer, founding winemaker, could well have patented the wine style. Silver Oak produces densely fruited yet silky rich wines with a mesmerizing oak element. Two years in barrel (50% new), and another year in bottle allow the elements to round out and come together. The 2007 is quintessential Silver Oak, showing the concentration typical of this great vintage yet without walloping alcohol. Drinking splendidly now, it will reward patience for the next 10-20 years.

2007 Silverado Vineyards (Estate Grown)

Sleek and refined, as wines from Stags Leap District typically are, this wine also shows plenty of Napa power. Robert Parker awarded the wine 92 Points, describing it as “Medium to full-bodied, with a nicely layered mouthfeel that builds incrementally, the wine has superb purity as well as accessibility. It can be drunk now or cellared for 15 or more years.” This is the winery’s second release of this wine, and likely your last chance to get this stunner from the landmark 2007 vintage.

2008 Antica (Townsend Vineyard)

Antica
Antica is a project of the great Italian producer Antinori. Antica’s vineyards sit on Atlas Mountain, at an altitude between 1400 and 1800 feet. Here, grapes can ripen without interference from the valley floor’s fog. In addition, temperatures are cooler, so acid balance can be maintained. Robert Parker awarded the 2008 bottling 93 Points saying “this dense ruby/purple-colored wine offers up notes of forest floor, blackberries and cassis along with a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel and attractive elegance and purity. Multilayered with sweet tannin, it should age nicely for 15+ years.”—The Wine Advocate, Dec. 2010. This may be your only chance to purchase this wine.
