Deep scarlet color; out of the gate aromas of cinnamon, cranberry and a hint of ginger tease for a taste. The palate turns into Christmas in the mouth...sweet baking spices and tart berries, even a hint of roasted meat. Throughout the experience a plush weight fills the mouth. The merging of flavors, viscosity and a lively acidity round out the long, sinuous finish.
Wine Spectator
A rich, extracted style that's dense, but also very complex and detailed, with spicy berry flavors that fan out nicely while retaining their focus, gaining depth on the finish. Best from 2012 through 2019.

Wine Enthusiast
Delicious from the get go, a Pinot Noir that impresses for sheer flamboyance. The vineyard is in a cooler part of the Santa Maria Valley, and the wine shows fine acidity and ripe, long hangtime flavors of raspberries and cherries, with a rich coating of oak and the exotic crushed spices of its terroir. So good now, it’s hard to resist, but try cellaring for up to five years.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
