Château Ste. Michelle
Planted by vineyard manager Mimi Nye in 1991, our vineyard at Canoe Ridge Estate has grown before our eyes to produce more concentrated and opulent wines. This wine shows amazing intensity to go with ripe black cherry fruit. The Canoe Ridge Estate Cab is a beautifully balanced wine that is a classic expression of Washington fruit.
Wine Advocate
The Cabernets begin with the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Canoe Ridge Estate which contains a dollop of Merlot and Malbec and was aged for 22 months in French and American oak. A dense purple color, it puts out a nose of spice box, violets, incense, black currant, and blackberry. This leads to a medium to full-bodied, ripe, intense wine with enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years, very good balance, and a fruit-filled finish. Drink it from 2012 to 2022.

Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
