Our 2010 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay embodies the diversity of world-class vineyards in the acclaimed Sonoma Coast appellation, and the talents of the gifted winegrowers who farm these sites. Combining fruit from a who's who of the appellation's most renowned vineyards, this cuvée harmoniously brings together the acidity, structure and stone fruit flavors of grapes grown on the windswept slopes of Gap's Crown Vineyard, the honey, crème brûlée and graham cracker elements of Durell and Parmalee Hill vineyards, the high-tone green apple and Muscat character of Dutton Ranch's heirloom clones, and the rich peach and spiced pear elements of Sun Chase Vineyard. Throughout it all, there is a vibrant, lively quality to the wine that reflects the cool touch of the 2010 vintage. The aromatics are bright and enticing, with citrus blossom and white flower notes, and refreshing acidity adds a mouthwatering quality that makes this a lovely food wine.
Oaky and seemingly sweet, this is a showy wine whose appeal comes from its ripeness and richness. Vanilla and buttered toast notes from the oak dominate the tropical fruit and pineapple flavors. With its creamy, buttery mouthfeel, this is made to appeal to fans of the modern Chardonnay style.
Fresh and lively, with a smooth-textured mix of creamy pear, fig and honeydew melon flavors. Finishes with a dash of toasty oak. Drink now through 2018.
