Michel Delhommeau Muscadet de Sevre et Maine Sur Lie Cuvée Saint Vincent 2009
Case stacks of this Muscadet steadily diminished in our stores during last summer. The reason? It’s as good a 10 dollar white wine as you will find. Delhommeau separates his lots of grapes by the soil type they grow in. This focus on terroir gives his wines superior character and distinctive charm. Muscadet, also known as Melon, is NOT related to Muscat, and is never sweet. Great ones like this are always delightful. A categorical picnic wine.
